Enver Durmuşoğlu said, “Vegetables and fruits are one of the most important pests in plant production due to their large number of offspring. In the fight against this pest, free chemical pesticides (acaricides) are used, which causes great risks to the environment and human health. On the other hand, intensive and repetitive applications cause these pests to rapidly gain resistance to acaricides. According to the IRAC database, the use of bioaccharides stands out as an important alternative within the framework of pest management principles integrated with this red spider, which has gained the most active substance resistance in the world. However, whether this pest can develop resistance to bioacaricides has never been investigated before. Within the scope of the project, which has a budget of 459 thousand lira, 1 doctorate and 3 graduate students will receive scholarships.
